Assignment Application for a Trademark Registration

Filing an Assignment application for a Registered Trademark shall undergo the filing and publication stages for which the official fees are as below:

Requirement:

  • A Power of attorney duly notarized and legalized up to the Afghanistan Consulate,
  • A deed of Assignment (DoA) document duly notarized and legalized up to the Afghanistan Consulate ,
  • A copy of the Registration and/or latest Renewal Certificate,
  • Clear image of a device mark.

Note:

An applicant can assign one or all of his trademarks to a second party based on the Trademark Law currenty enforced in Afghanistan.

Single Class/Multiple Class:

There will be no additional official fees for filing an Assignment application for earch additional class.

Assignment Application Procedure:

A Trademark Assignment will undergo the filing and publication in the Official Gazette. the process may take form 3 to 6 months to complete Assignment process.

Note:

Afghanistan Trademark Office will not issue a computarized certificate for any recordal application including for Assignment application. instead, the recordal shall be endoresed on the original regisration or latest renewal certificate.
